I followed Bill's story from the moment I heard of it. I went to IU and was friends with a lot of the Acacia guys there. I was older than Bill and so didn't know him at IU, but all of the Acacia guys I know had nothing but amazing things to say about him. While I will never know your exact loss, I do understand. I lost my brother Arthur very suddenly - he also was in Acacia at IU. To lose an older brother shakes you to the core. Hold on to your family and those who knew Bill, ask them to tell you stories that you didn't know. If you ever want to talk, please contact me at shgrubb@yahoo.com. I also am getting married this year and to think of my brother not being there... I feel for you.

It's Spring Break here at IU. I read about Bill's story in the IDS on March 6th and since the paper is on hiatus this week I decided to follow his story a bit more in Facebook and his website. I was stunned to learn that his battle was over and that he was once again in the arms of his fiance. May your family find strength as your battle here on this earth continues on.

My deepest condolences...I am a fellow Acacia alum and I know what you must be going thru right now is grim. I lost my youngest sister 8 months ago in a terrible unexpected tragedy in eastern Europe. I did not know Bill personally but I feel connected to him and to you thru our mutual friends. I am praying that you will be comforted in time... that you will be aware of the great blessing that he was and the difference he made in every life that he touched... Be Well.

Our daughter Susan worked with Bill in Garmisch in 2004-05, before returning to the states. She learned of the fire and Bill's situation via a blog & emailed family & friends to pray for him, his family and his care givers. We've had many tears and prayed many prayers. Our God, in His mercy, has called Bill home - to be free of all pain, scars & tears.
We are so very sad for your loss.
This loss is not forever and we are
not without hope. You WILL be reunited in eternity, as God has promised. May you take comfort in this truth. God bless you, comfort
you, strengthen you and give you
peace. You remain in our thoughts
and prayers.

Dear Laura.

My God. I am sorry to read and learn of the unfairness of what happened to Bill and Sejin. No words could possibly describe your pain.

I hope time will heal your heart, even if only a little. Thoughts and hope to your mum, dad and family.

xx
